Music is all about exploration. One of the most gratifying moments for a music fan is discovering a new genre/artist/group that gets them excited. The best ways to do this is to look abroad. Who is the “Kanye West” of Europe? Who do trip-hop fans in Russia listen to?There is so much amazing international music out there, all you need to do is look in the right places. This is exactly what I hope to do with “Allow Me To Introduce…”, a weekly post about international music that will undoubtably get those feet tapping. Allow me to introduce Ed Banger Records. If you ever find yourself walking through the streets of Paris and hear an infectiously catchy house beat, it probably comes from Ed Banger’s impressive roster of DJs. Started in 2002 by former Daft Punk manager Pedro Winter, the label is home to “French electronic acts” like Justice, Mr Oizo, Uffie, Feads, and many others (click here to check out their website as well as a complete artist lineup).
